  • BS degree in Engineering (or related field)
  • 3 + years of related traffic engineering/analysis work experience. Must have experience performing Traffic Impact Studies, and Traffic Analysis and simulation.  
  • EIT Required. 
  • M.S. in Transportation Engineering/Planning or related field preferred. 
  • Specific experience in developing traffic data collection programs, performing operational analysis, performing accident analyses and developing highway safety studies required. 
  • Prefer candidates with TxDOT agency experience.  Traffic signal design experience is a plus. 
  • Prefer prior experience performing maintenance of traffic (MOT) activities
  • AUTOCAD experience preferred. Microstation Experience required.

 
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
:

 

Requires engineering knowledge in civil or a related field.  Familiarity with the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), Highway Capacity Software (HCS), Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Synchro/Simtraffic, VISSIM, database software, CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with traffic engineering is also required.
