Parsons client has a need for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, to support design and construction management services on a Government campus in Maryland for various facilities projects.  If you have a strong background in mechanical systems like plumbing, HVAC, chillers, boilers, and experience working with design and construction, this is the position for you!  Our engineers perform oversight of the design as well as oversight and direction of the construction activities on repair, alteration and upgrade projects for labs, office buildings and other facilities.  
 
Duties include but are not limited to:
 
Conducting 30%, 70% and 90% design reviews for constructability and bid ability.
 
Attending design review meetings.
 
Assisting in the development of scopes of work for minor R & A projects and change orders on on-going construction projects.
 
Providing construction phase services support and oversight of subcontractors performing the work, as well as client reports and holding client meetings. 
 
Candidate must have lab experience
 
Requirements:
 
BS degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required.
 
Must have 8 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design, or MEP design or Industrial design, with an emphasis on mechanical systems for facilities, laboratories and data centers.   Experience performing construction and design oversight functions, is required.  
 
Must have at least 5 years experience working with mechanical systems in a lab environment. 
  
Must be a US Citizen (government project requirement) 
 
Experience with the following would be ideal:  HVAC, clean room systems, building automation systems.
