POSITION OVERVIEW: 

Planner completing real property analysis and accountability tasks supporting the Fort Belvoir Directorate of Public Works. This position will become a face of Parsons for key clients in the National Capital Region.

Supports analysis and completes real property accountability actions to support the planning and audit readiness for the installation. Maintains liaisons with internal and customer project leads, technical experts, and others.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Contributes to initial kick off meeting, status meetings, and final training sessions. Completes weekly and monthly status reports.
  • Supports comprehensive assessment of real property data to determine corrective actions required to achieve full real property audit readiness.
  • Leads Data Corrections and Updates for GFEBS Real Property Accountability
  • Supports real property folder and library update and maintenance
  • Supports comprehensive building survey and investigation documenting size, usage, and configuration.
  • Supports comprehensive survey and completes database update for PRISMS
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

We prefer our candidates to have:

 

Planning Experience:

  • Knowledge in the principles and practices of installation planning;

 Military Experience:

  • Service in an Active or Reserve Component of the US Army, Navy, Marines, or Air Force;
  • Former or current dependent (Spouse or Child) of an Active Duty Service Member and lived on a military installation; or
  • Civilian employment experience with a military installation or organization.

Specialized Software and Applications:

  • Advanced technical capability with GIS, Adobe CS, or other relevant and emerging software;
  • Training and Experience US military enterprise databases (GFEBS, RPLANS, iNFADS, PAX, etc);

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 
4-year degree in Urban/Environmental Planning or related field and 5-10 years of related work experience.  American Institute of Certified Planners Certification is strongly preferred at this level.
 
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
: 
Thorough knowledge of urban/environmental planning practices and procedures.  Proficiency in utilizing PC and various software packages typically used in urban/environmental planning assignments is required.  Also requires excellent written and oral communication skills, and a thorough understanding of local statutes and environmental rules and regulations.
