Military Intelligence Analyst

Position Description:

The military intelligence analyst performs long term, all-source analysis on threat weapons and forces to serve as regional subject matter expert and to inform modeling and simulation studies using force-on-force scenarios for threat weapon and sensor systems; Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) systems; and related analysis on all types of foreign threat weapon systems versus various Blue systems. The primary tasks of the military intelligence analyst are to conduct independent research and analysis to assess military capabilities of other countries and threat regions and tailor that intelligence to support specific study efforts on threat capabilities. In addition to the threat system analyst tasks, the analyst will be involved in threat weapon and sensor system capabilities intelligence assessments, reporting intelligence assessments in reports and briefs, providing assessments to software developers, and supporting development of military force-on-force study plans in support of Combatant Commands and Program Developers. The candidate will work closely with Government to ensure differences between intelligence community assessments of threat capabilities and those capabilities modeled in current simulations are understood and documented.

The candidate must be self-motivated, capable of independent analysis, possess strong communication skills, and be willing to work as part of an integrated product team consisting of both Government and contractor personnel. Ideal candidate would possess experience with the military staffs, force-on-force modeling or operational wargames, planning of military combat operations; conducting systems analysis, possess knowledge of C4 systems, RF- and EO/IR-based weapon and sensor systems, GPS systems, and the signal propagation environments associated with these systems.

Qualifications (Required):
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics or a BS in a relevant field with military intelligence analysis experience
o in lieu of BS, at least 8 years of military experience with 6 years of work in the relevant areas
• Five years of experience working within the Department of Defense in either a military or civilian capacity
• Worked in an Air Operations Center (AOC) or is familiar with Air Force or Navy air operations planning
• US Citizen and possess a Top-Secret Security Clearance and be able to pass Counter-Intelligence Polygraph

Qualifications (Highly Desired):
-Understanding of U.S. intelligence organizations and databases
-Experience in all-source intelligence analysis and applying analysis tradecraft standards
-Knowledge of Military Ranks and Echelons
-Experience in Joint Operations
