  • Works from standard operating and response procedures; shift logs; verbal turnover, and supervisor direction.
  • Performs facility monitoring and upkeep.
  • Monitors and operates equipment using normal, abnormal and emergency operating procedures. Operates equipment within the
  • bounds of the Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) as applicable.
  • Performs administrative functions, such as complete process procedures, take and document equipment readings, complete
  • sample requests, participate in procedure development, and complete other miscellaneous administrative duties as required.
  • Performs process functions such as valuing, chemical tank make-ups, obtaining samples, operating and monitoring process instrumentation, monitoring process piping and equipment, and decontaminating equipment and facilities.
  • Operates portable equipment such as forklifts, pumps, mixers, and agitators.
  • Participates in procedure development and revision, job hazard analysis, component walk downs and labeling, and safety walk downs applicable for tasks performed within their qualification areas
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. 


  • High School diploma, or equivalent, and 6-9 years of related work experience, or a 2-year degree in a related field with 4 to 6 years of experience.  Completion of a 40-hour OSHA training course (with an annual 8-hour update) is required for industrial or hazardous wastewater operations.
